Our story

PLUME ESTATE – Fine Wines from Bickley Valley

Established in the mid-1980s, Plume Estate is a family-owned vineyard and winery in the Bickley Valley, Perth Hills. Once a small grape-growing farm, we’ve grown into one of the region’s most loved destinations for wine tasting, vineyard lunches, and scenic getaways.

We are passionate about innovation, continually introducing new grape varieties to produce our award-winning wines. Every bottle captures the essence of our rich soils and hillside terroir.

Join us at our cellar door to sample our handcrafted wines and enjoy seasonal dishes made with fresh, local ingredients at the Plume Vineyard Kitchen. Whether you're here for a wine tasting, a relaxing lunch, or to take in the stunning views, Plume Estate offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Perth Hills wine region.

Marcus

Marcus’s journey into the world of wine began in 2006 when he started making small-batch wines with friends in the Bickley Valley. His passion for sustainable farming practices and low-additive wines has driven his commitment to creating exceptional wines with minimal environmental impact.

Before fully dedicating himself to winemaking, Marcus ran his own business in waste management and resource recovery. After a successful 35-year international career in the corporate world, he now focuses on crafting fine award-winning wines that highlight the unique terroir of the Bickley Valley, all within a family environment.

As the vigneron at Plume Estate, Marcus oversees the property and manages the cellar door. He takes great joy in working alongside his family, contributing to the hands-on, personal touch that defines Plume Estate.
